Consulting Services
Above All Tree Services Consulting Arborist Team are AQF Level 5 Arborists, with the knowledge and experience to identify and assess tree hazards, diagnose tree health problems and provide intelligent, practical and cost effective solutions.
We provide a comprehensive range of arborist report types including:
Tree Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
Our Consulting Arborists can visit your property to visually assess your tree’s health and condition and/or identify any hazards. We use the TRAQ risk assessment process endorsed by the International Society of Arborists and provide you with a copy of the assessment and a brief summary explaining the issues in language that you can understand.
We have several consulting arborists who are also qualified climbers and can undertake an aerial inspection of any issues that cannot be assessed from the ground.
Should specialised testing techniques such as ultrasound or woody tissue testing be required, Above All Tree Services can organise these for you to be carried out with specialist consultants and laboratories.
Report to Accompany Tree Pruning or Removal Application to Council
Some Council’s require an Arborist’s Report to accompany an application for tree pruning or removal. Our consulting arborists will ensure that they are familiar with your Council’s regulations and guidelines. They will then attend your site and provide an objective and detailed assessment based on identified hazards, associated risks to people and structures and the significance of the tree in the landscape. They will then generate a report suitable for submission to council and certified with appropriate qualifications and memberships.
Tree Surveys & Audits – Schools and other Facilities
Schools across New South Wales are often looking to manage their tree asset to reduce risk to students and infrastructure. Our Consulting Arborists can undertake or review large scale tree audits for schools and other facilities.
These audits are developed in accordance with the NSW Government Education & Communities Tree Management Guidelines 2015. They typically utilise survey information provided by the school or google earth image to tag and number the trees on site. The audit identifies tree species, height, canopy spread, DBH, Hazard Rating, Useful Life Expectancy (ULE), Significance Rating and TRAQ Risk Rating. It also provides recommendations for remedial works in a practical, easy to understand, colour-coded and prioritised format.
Pre-Design Preliminary Tree Assessment
This type of report is useful for architects and developers to gain an understanding of the existing trees on site, their amenity value and requirements for retention, maintenance or removal. The report is not usually submitted to Council but can be useful in pre-DA discussion meetings.
The report utilises survey information to tag and number the trees on site and identifies tree species, height, canopy spread, DBH, Hazard Rating, Useful Life Expectancy (ULE), Structural Root Zone, Tree Protection Zone and Significance Rating.
Arboricultural Impact Assessment (DA/CC)
This type of report is usually required to accompany a development application to Council and provides an accurate and comprehensive assessment of the impact of the proposed works on the trees within the site and on neighbouring properties.
The report utilises survey information to tag and number the trees on site and identifies tree species, height, canopy spread, DBH, Hazard Rating, Useful Life Expectancy (ULE), Structural Root Zone, Tree Protection Zone and Significance Rating.
The report also provides recommendations for retention, pruning or removal and details specific tree protection measures and supervision/monitoring requirements.
Project Arborist & Certification of Works
Conditions of Development Consent often require Project Arborist supervision, reporting and certification to manage sensitive construction phases with regard to site trees.
Our Consulting Arborists are able to provide reporting and certification for all critical stages of the works and in accordance with the requirements of Council.
Expert Witness Reports
Our Consulting Arborists are able to prepare detailed, accurate expert witness reports for various courts or tribunals in accordance with the relevant Expert Witness Code of Conduct.
